Nasarawa State Police Command has arrested two kidnappers that abducted students of the Faculty of Engineering, Nasarawa State University Keffi, Gudi campus last week
In a statement, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the command, Ramhan Nansel, said the suspects, identified as Abdullahi Yeyi Haro, alleged leader of the kidnapping syndicate, and one Basiru Abdullahi, both from Gudi, were apprehended after diligent investigation and strategic operations aimed at dismantling the criminal network responsible for the abduction.
Nansel said Commissioner of Police, Shetima Jauro Mohammed, commended the operatives involved in the operation for their commitment to ensuring the safety and security of residents.
He reiterated the command’s determination to rid Nasarawa of criminality, particularly kidnapping and other violent crimes.
He assured the public that investigations were ongoing to arrest other fleeing members of the syndicate and bring those involved in the crime to justice.
