Veteran Nollywood actor Owolabi Ajasa has debunked rumours of his de.ath after a fake obituary announcing his passing circulated widely on social media
Ajasa, widely recognised for portraying police officers in Nollywood films and his famous catchphrase, “Ta lo pa chief?”, addressed the speculation in a video posted on his Instagram page on Friday, assuring fans that he is alive and in good health.
“I’m still much alive in good health,” the actor said.
He also condemned those behind the false reports, praying that the evil they wished for him would return to them.
“To everyone posting my obituary around, I’m saying back to the sender to you and your family,” he stated.
Speaking to supporters in Nigeria and across the world, Ajasa reiterated that there was no truth to the rumours.
“Good day everyone, my name still remains Owolabi Ajasa, your Nollywood police officer. I want to tell all my fans both in Nigeria and abroad that I’m still much alive. I’m alive, hale and hearty. There’s nothing wrong with me,” he said.
