Human rights lawyer Deji Adeyanju says he will not allow any attempt to cover up wrongdoing in the investigation into the de.aths of 37 suspected illegal miners in Niger State.
Deji, who is a member of the committee investigating the deaths, said he joined the panel to represent the victims and ensure that any wrongdoing uncovered during the investigation is not suppressed.
During an interview with Channels TV, he said:
“I feel that I am on that committee to serve the interests of those who have been mu.rdered brutally and gruesomely mu.rdered. So, I am there to represent the victims, and I will make sure there is no cover-up or that nobody tries to suppress any wrongdoing; if they try to do so, I will expose them.”
