Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has publicly denied a viral statement falsely attributed to her and has threatened legal action against a blog that circulated the quote
The widely shared quote, which was picked up by multiple blogs, read:
“Beauty fades, but character stays. Grow, know your worth, and be whole. Beauty alone isn’t enough.”
Many platforms reported that the actress made the statement in reference to her marital status, but Adunni Ade has now taken to social media to set the record straight.
Quoting a post from a popular X blog, she wrote:
“I kindly request that you take down this post to prevent further action involving my legal team. I do not appreciate the fact that you’re using my name to peddle false news & articles with no verifiable source just to generate engagement.”
The actress made it clear that she never made such a statement and expressed frustration over the continued spread of misinformation using her name. She warned that if the post isn’t removed, legal steps will follow.
Her response has drawn support from fans and colleagues, many of whom applauded her for addressing the issue directly and demanding accountability from media platforms.
