Nigeria striker, Victor Osimhen, was booed off the pitch by fans after he asked head coach, Eric Chelle, to substitute him following a heated exchange with Ademola Lookman
The incident happened on Monday night, as the Super Eagles demolished Mozambique 4-0 in a last-16 fixture at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
At that point, the three-time African champions were three goals, thanks to Lookman and Osimhen (brace).
Incidentally, Lookman had provided both assists for the Galatasaray striker, to take his tally to three at the tournament.
But after a team move broke down in the second half, Osimhen flared up and yelled at Lookman, possibly for not passing early to him.
He then signalled to the bench to be taken off.
Chelle duly brought on Paul Onuachu to replace the angry Osimhen.
