The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN), and Association of Movie Producers (AMP) have all suspended Nollywood actor Taiye Arimoro
Arimoro’s suspension stems from a violent incident on a movie set, where he was found to be the primary aggressor.
He assaulted the production manager and driver, and spread a misleading video implicating the producer, Peggy Ovire.
The guilds have suspended him from all Nollywood productions until he meets certain conditions.
The decision aims to promote accountability and professionalism in the industry. While Arimoro faces suspension, Ovire has been asked to improve her management skills and apologize for her role in escalating the situation.
