Aisha Buhari, widow of late former President Muhammadu Buhari, has relocated with her family from Daura, Katsina State, to their residence in Kaduna
The move took place on Sunday, July 28, 2025, as the former First Lady and her children arrived at the Nigerian Air Force Base in Kaduna. They were received by a high-level delegation led by Kaduna State Deputy Governor Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe and House Majority Leader Hon. Munira Tanimu.
The family has now settled into Buhari’s former home in Ungwan Rimi GRA, the same residence he occupied prior to his medical trip to London during his presidency.
This relocation comes months after the late president quietly returned to the Kaduna house in February 2025, nearly two years after stepping down from office. His return had attracted notable dignitaries including Vice President Kashim Shettima, Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno, and Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna.
