The Ondo State Government has dissolved the boards of several parastatals and commissions across the state following the end of their tenure.

The development was disclosed in a statement released on Tuesday by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, and shared on the state’s official X platform.

According to the statement, the decision affects a number of agencies, including the Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), the Local Government Service Commission, as well as the Muslim Welfare Board and the Christian Welfare Board.

It also noted that Education Secretaries in all 18 Local Government Areas have completed their tenure and are included in the directive.

All affected officials — including chairmen, commissioners, board members, and education secretaries — have been instructed to immediately transfer responsibilities to the most senior administrative officers in their respective offices.

“The Ondo State Government announces the expiration of tenure and consequent dissolution of the Boards of some Parastatals and Commissions in the State, with immediate effect.”

The government further emphasized that the handover process must be carried out seamlessly in accordance with laid-down administrative guidelines.
