Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has sacked all his political aides with immediate effect
The decision was announced in a statement released on Monday by his Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan.
The affected officials include all Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants serving under the governor.
The statement explained that the move is part of efforts to improve efficiency and boost service delivery across the state.
“In the ongoing drive to enhance efficiency and deepen service delivery, Ondo State Governor, Dr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has relieved all political aides of their duties with immediate effect.
“Those affected are Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants to the Governor.
“The governor thanked them for their contributions to the development of the State thus far and wished them well in their future endeavours.”
It further revealed that the governor has approved plans to appoint about 1,000 new aides drawn from all 18 local government areas and the 203 wards in the state, aimed at strengthening coordination and bringing fresh energy into the administration.
