The Governing Council of Ajayi Crowther University (ACU), Oyo, has appointed Prof. Ebunoluwa Oduwole as the new Vice-Chancellor of the institution.
The announcement was made in a statement issued by the university and shared with journalists on Thursday.

The outgoing Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Timothy Adebayo, was celebrated for his exceptional leadership over the past five years, which was credited with taking the university to new heights. Adebayo’s tenure officially ends this month.
Speaking at a ceremony held after the council’s meeting on Wednesday, the Chairman of the Governing Council and Pro-Chancellor of the university, Dr. Olutoyin Okeowo, revealed that the external auditor’s report showed “tremendous growth” during Adebayo’s tenure.
“Between the period that Prof. Adebayo became the Vice-Chancellor in 2020 and now, this University has witnessed tremendous growth. This growth came at a time when the nation was going through a challenging economy. Most institutions that are not well managed or do not have someone very creative and disciplined at the helm of affairs are not likely to stand the economic storm we have had in this country. But Prof. Adebayo has been able to ensure yearly growth of this University. This is highly commendable. On behalf of Anglicans in the Supra West, I say thank you,” Okeowo said.
He also expressed gratitude to the management, principal officers, and staff of the university for their role in Adebayo’s success.
“In our meeting today, it was made clear that a tree does not make a forest. Prof. Adebayo has achieved so much simply because he had a team — dedicated principal officers and members of staff. You all contributed to his success over the past five years, so on behalf of all Anglicans in the Supra West, I say thank you. It was teamwork that worked so well,” Okeowo added.
