Singer Ajebutter22 has shared his frustration over the current state of Lagos, saying life in the city has become far more difficult than it was a decade ago.
Speaking about how much things have changed, the singer said he often finds himself wishing he could return to the Lagos of 10 years ago. While he admitted the city had its own challenges back then, he believes the situation has only become tougher, with the cost of living rising sharply and daily life becoming more stressful.
Expressing his disappointment on his page, he said:
“Take me back to 10years ago when Lagos was rubbish then but imagine what it is now. Gym fees use to be 5k. Now we are suffering, everywhere is rubbish, flood everywhere, price of everything is high, everything is bad, everywhere dry, everybody has gone like rapture has taken place like we are the only ones remain.”
Ajebutter22 also spoke about the growing financial pressure many residents are facing. He pointed to rising prices, flooding in different parts of the city and what he described as a noticeable decline in everyday life.
According to him, Lagos no longer feels the way it used to, and he believes many people have left the city in search of better opportunities elsewhere.
