Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan (PDP, Kogi Central) has accused Senate President Godswill Akpabio of sexual harassment, escalating their ongoing dispute
Speaking on ARISE TV on Friday, the lawmaker, who has been at the center of a heated exchange with Akpabio, claimed to have evidence to support her allegation, adding that her husband is also a witness.
Her accusation comes amid tensions over the recent relocation of her Senate seat without her consent, which led to a heated argument with Akpabio.
The matter was later referred to the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions, chaired by Senator Neda Imaseun (LP, Edo South), with a two-week deadline for its findings.
She said:
“Apkabio made s3xual advances on me in the presence of my husband. A day before he apologized concerning the ‘night club incident,’ Sen. Bamidele called me in the night in the presence of my husband. Sen. Akpabio called me few minutes later to tell me what the Dein of Agbor said to him”
Akpoti-Uduaghan has also filed a N100.3 billion fundamental human rights lawsuit against Akpabio as their feud intensifies.
