The announcement was made during a condolence visit from Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, in Uyo. Governor Eno expressed confidence in Helen’s ability to carry forward her mother’s legacy and work.

Helen will collaborate with the Deputy Governor and the Commissioner for Women’s Affairs and Social Welfare to ensure continuity in the Office of the First Lady.

Governor Eno praised his late wife as his “greatest supporter and toughest critic,” emphasizing Helen’s role in sustaining her mother’s initiatives, including the Golden Initiative For All (GIFA).

This decision reflects the governor’s commitment to preserving his wife’s legacy and ensuring seamless continuity in the state’s social welfare programs.
