Aliko Dangote, Africa’s wealthiest man, has expressed his willingness to sell his multibillion-dollar oil refinery to the state-owned NNPC Limited

This comes amidst a dispute with regulatory authorities and issues with crude oil supply.
According to Premium Times, despite the refinery’s potential to reduce Nigeria’s reliance on foreign fuel imports, it has faced challenges, including operating below capacity and difficulties in sourcing crude oil.
Dangote has offered to let NNPC buy him out, citing allegations of monopoly and his desire to prioritize the country’s interests.
The refinery’s quality has also been disputed, with Dangote refuting claims of high sulfur content in its diesel fuel.
