Alina Habba, a prominent attorney closely associated with Donald Trump, has reportedly gone through a major change in her personal life

According to TMZ, the former acting U.S. Attorney for New Jersey quietly filed for divorce from her second husband, Gregg Reuben, in New Jersey last month.

The process moved swiftly, with the split reportedly finalized not long after it was filed.

Habba and Reuben got married on New Year’s Eve in 2020 in New Jersey. During their time together, the couple did not have any children.

Around that same period, Habba’s professional relationship with Trump was gaining momentum. Shortly after the wedding, Trump brought her onto his legal team as one of his personal attorneys. The development came about a year after Habba finalized her divorce from her first husband, Matthew Eyet.

Her role within Trump’s circle later expanded. At the beginning of Trump’s second presidential term, Habba briefly worked as Counselor to the President. Not long afterward, Trump appointed her acting U.S. Attorney for New Jersey.

The appointment, however, was short-lived. A court later determined that the process used for the appointment did not follow proper legal procedures, which led to her disqualification from the position.

Following the divorce, reports say Habba has relocated to Florida and now lives near Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s well-known residence and resort in Palm Beach keeping her close to the political circle where she remains active.
