Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has been named Premier League Manager of the Month for October, marking his first time winning the award
Amorim, who took charge of United in November 2024, guided the team to three league victories last month, easing pressure after a slow start to the season.
United began October with a win over Sunderland, secured a historic 1-0 victory at Liverpool—their first at Anfield since January 2016—and then defeated Brighton 4-2.
“The credit is not mine; the credit is for my players,” Amorim said. “They did really well, and our goal is to win the next one [award], because it means we win football matches, and that is our goal.”
This is the first time a Manchester United manager has claimed the award since Erik ten Hag in November 2023.
United drew 1-1 with Nottingham Forest on 1 November and currently sit eighth in the Premier League table.
United forward Bryan Mbeumo was named Player of the Month for October after scoring three goals and providing an assist during the club’s three victories.
