A security outfit in Anambra State has announced plans to arrest women seen in public without bras or panties, according to a viral video shared on X
In the footage, an official of the security group, speaking in Igbo, claimed the directive came from Governor Chukwuma Soludo. He further warned that women wearing only panties in public would also face arrest.
However, Anambra authorities have yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
Reacting to the announcement, former Kaduna Senator Shehu Sani questioned the enforcement of the directive and whether it applied to men.
“Anambra’s Bra and Pant law; I don’t know if the Pant law is applicable to Men….and how can the security outfit verify ladies’ compliance??” he wrote on X.
