Anita Okoye, entrepreneur and former wife of Paul Okoye, has opened up about the emotional Mother’s Day surprise she received from her children, describing the moment as one filled with love, gratitude and unforgettable memories.
According to Anita, her son Andre touched her deeply after using part of his personal savings to buy gifts specially chosen to make her feel appreciated. While she was taking in that surprise, Nathan and Nadia were also secretly preparing handmade presents alongside touching handwritten notes that completely melted her heart.
“This Mother’s Day humbled me in the most beautiful way. Andre spent a good chunk of his savings on the most thoughtful, intentional gifts, making me feel incredibly special. At the same time, Nathan and Nadia worked tirelessly and secretly to create the sweetest DIY gifts for me. Their handwritten notes absolutely melted my heart.”
The emotional moment led Anita to reflect on her journey as a mother, a role she says remains the most rewarding experience of her life despite the sacrifices and demanding moments that come with it.
“Being your mom is the greatest privilege of my life. Every sacrifice, every prayer, every long day is worth it because of the three of you.”
She went on to appreciate her children for the genuine effort and affection they poured into making the day memorable for her.
“I don’t take this love for granted. Thank you for making me feel seen, appreciated, and celebrated in such a genuine way.”
Still overwhelmed by the experience, Anita ended her message with a heartfelt conclusion.
