Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay‑Idibia has shared powerful advice for women based on her own life experience and it comes from a book that shifted her perspective.
Taking to Instagram, the former Mrs. Idibia recommended The Crowded Bed & The Empty Throne, saying it helped her “meet parts of myself I had been protecting for a long time.”
She explained speaks directly to women who have ever “confused love with survival” or stayed in situations too long because “their heart was loyal.”
Annie reassured followers that reading books “doesn’t shame you. It wakes you up,” adding that after reading it, “your standards stop negotiating.”
“You’ll laugh, you’ll flinch, you’ll exhale… And then you’ll start standing differently,” she wrote.
