The Lagos state governorship election tribunal sitting in
Ikeja, today dismissed the petition filed by Peoples Democratic Party candidate,
Jimi Agbaje, against Akinwunmi Ambode of the All Progressives Congress. Agbaje
had earlier petitioned the tribunal challenging the declaration of Ambode as
the winner of the April 11, 2015 governorship election in the state.

The three-man tribunal led by a Justice today however upheld
the preliminary objection raised by Chief Wole Olanipekun that the petition was
incompetent, hence the case was thrown out.
