Another major kidnap has happened in Kogi as gunmen
yesterday morning stormed the farm land of the Commissioner of Lands in the
State, Mr Steven Mayaki and kidnapped him. The gunmen were said to be five in
number and came in a Prado Jeep. They abducted the commissioner and took him to
an unknown destination and are yet to contact his family or any Government
official.
It will be recalled that only last week Monday, the Kogi State
High Court Judge, Justice Samuel Obayomi was kidnapped on Monday and he is yet to
be released. Though the kidnappers have contacted his family, they are
demanding for the sum of N150m.
