Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has made remarks about the political future of former presidential candidate Peter Obi, expressing doubt over his chances of becoming Nigeria’s president at this time.
In a statement attributed to him, Edochie said:
“Any political party Peter Obi joins will scatter.
Whatever he’s doing with ADC is dead on Arrival.
A total waste of time.
It’s not a physical problem.
It’s deeper than that.
I’m surprised he doesn’t know this already.
Or maybe he knows but chooses to ignore it.
But the truth remains the truth. Peter Obi can not be President of Nigeria now.”
Edochie further suggested that Obi’s political direction faces deeper challenges beyond party affiliation, adding that his current prospects for the presidency are not viable.
His statement have since triggered mixed reactions online, with supporters and critics of Peter Obi engaging in heated discussions over the actor’s claims.
As of the time of this report, there has been no public response from Peter Obi or the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to counter his claim.
