Comedian Apama has denied having any dealings with TMT Travels and Tours following the arrest of Ifeanyi Onukwubiro over allegations of scamming more than 200 Nigerians in visa-related deals.
Apama said he has never had any financial dealings with TMT and has never used the company to process a visa for him. He also denied being an ambassador for the travel company, saying he should not be held responsible for the situation involving the alleged victims.
In a post he shared, he said:
“For those saying I should be arrested, I have never collected a dime from TMT. I’m not his ambassador, and he has never processed any visa for me”.
The comedian’s statement comes as the case involving Onukwubiro continues to attract attention, with several people who say they paid for visa services seeking answers and hoping to recover their money.
Apama maintained that he had no part in the transactions and should not be connected to the allegations simply because of his acquaintance with the TMT boss.
