APC begins plans to replace Ganduje

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has confirmed it has started plans to replace Abdullahi Ganduje who recently resigned as the party’s National Chairman

Felix Morka, the APC National Publicity Secretary, in an interview with Channels Television on Sunday, said consultations are ongoing.

Ganduje resigned from the party’s exalted position last week, citing urgent and personal matters.

Morka said the ruling party was making a swift move to install another National Chairman as the position must not be left unoccupied.

“We will take steps immediately to fill that vacancy,” he said during the interview.

According to him, no date has been fixed for the party’s National Executive Committee, NEC, but that would be done in the coming days.

“As we speak, that process has been triggered, and consultations are ongoing,” he added.

Ganduje took over as the ruling party’s National Chairman in August 2023, replacing Abdullahi Adamu who had also resigned from the position.
