Ariana Grande has revealed a meaningful connection to her current role as Glinda in the new “Wicked” movie, sharing a story about a special gift she received from Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth nearly two decades ago.
During an interview with People, Grande recounted how Chenoweth, who originated the role of Glinda on Broadway, gave her “a little magical body wash” with a “little wand” during a backstage meeting.

Looking back at the moment, Grande reflected, “I think it was magical because look at where we are now!”
The backstage meeting occurred in 2003 when Grande’s grandmother took her to meet the original cast members.
The impact of seeing “Wicked” was profound for Grande, who stated, “My chemistry as a person permanently altered.”
She even divides her life into “two chapters” – before and after seeing the musical.

Grande also revealed she still keeps another piece of “Wicked” memorabilia: a lip gloss from a 2004 Stila Cosmetics collaboration with the musical.
Commenting on its age, she joked, “Can’t be good to use” and “It’s got to be poison,” but added that she kept it “for a little extra magic.”
