Apostle Arome Osayi has questioned the impact of political campaigns and voters’ cards on Nigeria’s current political structure, saying the country needs healing before meaningful change can take place.
Speaking to his congregation, Arome said many people were putting their efforts into campaigns and elections while overlooking what he described as a deeper problem affecting the country.
He said:
“I know most of you are campaigning. There is no amount of campaign you do that will change the current structure of things in the next election. You are campaigning. No amount. Your voter’s card will not change anything.
“The land is sick. If it’s not healed, there can be no change. You are looking at the wrong things, trusting the wrong people. We are a joke. We are a big joke.
“Right now, this is the day of judgment. Many will be cut off, politicians and preachers will be cut off in the next five years. Young and old, I am not talking about old only, young and old, cut off. That is if God decides to have mercy, the way the mercy will manifest will be in form of judgments”.
