Asake has relocated to Los Angeles in the United States, as he sets his sights on the international music scene
In a chat with Office Magazine, he clarified that his relocation is about taking his career to the next level, not abandoning Nigeria.
“Humans are the same everywhere,” Asake said, pointing out that people everywhere are chasing success and building wealth.
He credits his musical upbringing for shaping his Afrobeats sound and values solitude for staying focused on his craft.
Asake joins a growing list of Nigerian artists making the US move, like Ayra Starr.
