Nigerian music sensation Asake has returned to his roots with a memorable visit to Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) after arriving in Nigeria from Los Angeles, paying homage to his alma mater
During the visit, Asake, accompanied by his mother, was warmly received and honoured by his former Head of Department and several lecturers, who celebrated his rise to prominence in the music industry.

In a nostalgic moment, the singer took to drumming for the students and audience, a throwback to his days as a Theatre and Drama student, where performing and showcasing his musical talent was part of his routine.
Asake capped the visit with a traditional dobale prostration, a respected rite performed by alumni to show humility and respect to the institution and its elders.
The visit not only celebrated his personal achievements but also served as an inspiration to current students, highlighting the strong connection between the artist and the university that helped shape his creative journey.
