The Nigeria Police Force has released a statement after a fake news portraying a suspect as an Assistant Commissioner of Police who was arrested for kidnapping.
The police twitter handle, tweeted one of the posts and munched fake news on it.
In another post, it said the man in the police uniform being paraded actually impersonated a police officer in 2019.
They gave his name as Kingsley Udoyem and he was arrested and prosecuted by the
Akwa-Ibom Command, on 2nd January, 2019.
