Nigeria’s First Lady, Mrs Remi Tinubu, has said that at over 60 years of age, she was too old to be afraid of death
The wife of the Nigerian President, a three-time senator said this on Tuesday in Bauchi while reacting to concern of Gov. Bala Mohammed over recent threats to her life.
An Islamic Cleric in Bauchi had called for the killing of Remi Tinubu in a viral video for being a pastor married to a Muslim President. However, the cleric has apologised over the call to murder the First Lady.
“I want to thank the Bauchi State governor for assuring me that I am safe, but I want to say that I am too old to be afraid.
“If God has granted me more than 60 years on earth, I shouldn’t be afraid of death.
“I thank God that you encouraged me to come and I want to say that Nigeria belongs to all of us. This is the time for us to unite more than ever before,” she said.
