Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has called for a thorough and transparent investigation into Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s allegations of sexual harassment and victimization against Senate President Godswill Akpabio

Atiku expressed concern over the allegations, emphasizing the need for accountability within the Senate. He urged President Bola Tinubu and the Senate leadership to ensure an impartial inquiry, stating that such action would reinforce Nigeria’s commitment to justice, fairness, and gender inclusion in governance.
In response, Kenny Okulogbo, media consultant to the Senate President, dismissed the allegations as baseless. He suggested that Akpoti-Uduaghan’s claims were linked to her recent removal as Chair of the Senate Committee on Local Content. Okulogbo also noted that an official statement from Akpabio would be issued soon.
Atiku’s statement adds to the growing controversy surrounding the allegations, with many calling for a resolution to the matter.
