Segun Showunmi, a former spokesperson for Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate in the 2023 election, has paid a courtesy visit to President Tinubu at his Lagos residence
Showunmi, who also contested for the PDP governorship ticket in Ogun State, shared a photo from the visit on his official X account on Sunday.
The image shows him standing beside the President, with a caption highlighting the significance of their meeting.
“Sallah Day 3! I spent quality time with the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, @officialABAT GCFR. It was engaging and nostalgic,” he wrote.
The visit is the latest in a series of interactions between President Tinubu and figures formerly aligned with the opposition, prompting speculation about shifting political allegiances ahead of the 2027 general elections.
