In a statement on Tuesday, Australia’s Home Affairs Minister, Tony Burke, said the country does not support content that promotes Nazi ideology. The track, released in May, came months after West made a string of antisemitic remarks on social media, including statements like “I love Hitler” and “I’m a Nazi.”

While those earlier comments had not affected his visa status, Burke explained that the new song triggered a formal review.

“It was a lower-level visa and the officials still looked at the law and said, ‘You’re going to have a song and promote that sort of Nazism, we don’t need that in Australia,’” Burke told reporters. “We have enough problems in this country already without deliberately importing bigotry,” he added.

West, who is married to Australian architect Bianca Censori, was a frequent visitor to the country. However, officials declined to reveal the exact date his visa was revoked.

The decision adds to a recent wave of entry bans by Australia, which also includes pro-Israel influencer Hillel Fuld and conservative commentator Candace Owens.
