Armed bandits, heavily armed and operating in large numbers, attacked Comprehensive Secondary School in Maga, located in Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State, on Sunday night, abducting at least 25 schoolgirls
Sulaiman Abdullahi, a local source, reported that the bandits k!lled the school’s vice principal and that several unidentified bodies were found on the school premises.

“They came in mass numbers at night, began shooting sporadically before they gained access to the school,” he said.
Security forces responded on Monday morning, with air force jets reportedly seen patrolling the area by 8 a.m., while the school and surrounding areas were cordoned off by heavily armed personnel.
CSP Nafiu Abubakar, spokesperson for the Kebbi Police Command, confirmed the attack and stated that a tactical team has been deployed to rescue the abducted students.
He added that efforts are being intensified to ensure the safety of all students in captivity, noting that the Commissioner of Police, Bello Sani, is determined to end the ongoing menace of banditry in the state.
