Former President Barack Obama has celebrated his 33rd wedding anniversary with Michelle Obama, sharing on Instagram, alongside a rare selfie of the couple
In the post, Barack wrote:
“The best decision I ever made was marrying you, Michelle Obama. For 33 years, I’ve admired your strength, grace, and determination—and the fact that you look so good doing it all. Happy anniversary!”
The photo shows Michelle looking radiant in a strapless black feathered dress with gold earrings and red lipstick, while Barack is dapper in a black suit.
Michelle also shared a touching message, saying: “We’ve been on quite the journey over the last 33 years—and yet, I love you even more today than the day we said ‘I do.’ Happy anniversary, @BarackObama!”
The couple first met in 1989 at the Sidley Austin law firm in Chicago, where Michelle was assigned as Barack’s mentor.
Their relationship grew over time, leading to their marriage in 1992. Together, they have raised two daughters, Malia and Sasha, while navigating public life and supporting each other through every challenge.
