Barcelona have officially completed the signing of Spanish goalkeeper Joan García from city rivals Espanyol

The 23-year-old shot-stopper becomes Barça’s first signing under new manager Hansi Flick, with the club activating his €25 million release clause to secure the deal. García has signed a long-term contract and is expected to join the squad ahead of preseason.
Highly rated for his reflexes and composure, García enjoyed a standout season with Espanyol and is now set to compete for a place in Barcelona’s goalkeeping lineup, which already includes Marc-André ter Stegen and the incoming Wojciech Szczęsny.
This move marks a significant step in Barcelona’s summer rebuild, as they look to strengthen key positions and return to title contention next season.
