Bashir El-Rufai, son of former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai, has publicly apologized for announcing his divorce to his ex-wife, Halima Nwakaego Kazaure on social media
Taking to his X account, he wrote;
“I made a mistake a few weeks ago and I would like to apologize. Personal matters should be kept private”
Recall Bashir and Halima – daughter of former Minister of Labour and Productivity Ibrahim Kazaure – got married in 2020 and welcomed a set of twins the following year.
Bashir announced the end of his marriage to Halima on X, citing “Gen Z wahala”.
