Elsie Okpocha, the ex-wife of comedian BasketMouth, has spoken out on Instagram about her marriage and its dissolution
She addressed fans who had been messaging her, urging her to reconcile with her Basketmouth, claiming that no woman willingly leaves a marriage without exhausting all efforts to make it work.
She emphasized that marriage is a commitment with the intention of lasting a lifetime, and for a woman to leave, she must have tried everything possible to save it.
Elsie Okpocha warned people against meddling in her affairs, reminding them that the end of a marriage is not always a sign of failure or lack of effort. She emphasized that every situation is unique and should be respected as such.
This statement comes after a video resurfaced from December 2022, where BasketMouth and Elsie had vowed never to get divorced in an interview with The Wedding Channel Africa.
The comedian had boasted that a good marriage never ends in divorce, and they both expressed their love for each other.
