Bauchi adolescent mothers are set to be enrolled in schools across the State
The project will target three local government areas—Bauchi, Misau, and Katagum—for implementation over a three-year period.
The Executive Director of The Women Child Youth Health and Education Initiative, WCY, Rashida Mukaddas, made this known during a one-day planning and inception meeting with education stakeholders on the Adolescent Mothers Education Access project of the organisation.
She explained that all stakeholders involved in advancing education in the state would be engaged by the organisation to advocate for girl-child education.
“This project has been designed to address the real and persistent barriers that prevent too many adolescent mothers from returning to school or staying enrolled”, she said.
