Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate Farida Sultana, popularly known as Sultana, has revealed she was forced into marriage at just 15 — an experience she says shaped her resilience and determination to chart her own path
The revelation came on Sunday shortly after she emerged as the interim Head of House and prepared to defend her title in Monday’s challenge.
In a candid conversation with fellow housemate Jason Jae, Sultana disclosed that she is now a proud mother of two daughters, Aaliyah and Lianora. “I was married off really young as a child,” she said. When Jason asked her age at the time, she replied, “I was about 15.”
Sultana explained that the marriage was not her choice but credited her stubbornness and inner strength for helping her break free. She also shared that both her children were delivered through C-section.
Her official X account later reinforced her words, highlighting how she rebuilt her life “brick by brick” with support from loved ones and has embraced her journey fully.
Speaking fondly of her daughters, she said, “Aaliyah and Lianora are my world. I love them so much and cherish them with all my heart.” She also hinted that her tattoos hold deep personal meaning, describing herself as “like an onion — the more you peel, the more you discover.”
According to her team, Sultana’s BBNaija journey goes beyond personal ambition; she hopes to inspire young girls in northern Nigeria who face similar challenges to fight for their dreams.
