Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has suspended his Special Adviser on Documentation, Research, and Planning, Mkor Aondona
This comes after his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), over allegations of s8xtortion, cyberbullying, and blackmail

The suspension was announced in a statement by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula.
According to the statement, the suspension is immediate and indefinite, coming in response to Aondona’s arrest by operatives of the EFCC’s cybercrime unit in Abuja on June 20. The agency reportedly acted on multiple petitions and digital evidence linking Aondona to a pattern of online blackmail, harassment, and extortion, particularly targeting women through fake identities and manipulated chat logs.
Governor Alia emphasized that his administration has zero tolerance for any form of criminal behavior or misconduct among public officials.
“This decision reflects the Governor’s unwavering commitment to integrity, discipline, and accountability in public service,” the statement read. “Any official found guilty of criminal conduct or ethical violations will face the full weight of the law.”
Alia further warned that his administration would not protect anyone who undermines public trust or brings the government into disrepute, insisting that public office must be exercised with honour and responsibility.
