The remix incorporates elements of Bounce music, originating from New Orleans, paying homage to her Louisiana roots.
Beyoncé’s unexpected release comes amid the success of her “Cowboy Carter” album and her recent receipt of the Innovator award at the iHeartRadio Music Awards.
With “Texas Hold ‘Em,” Beyoncé made history in February by becoming the first Black artist to top Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.
