American pop star Billie Eilish is once again getting people talking online after sharing her unfiltered thoughts about eating habits and animal love during a recent interactive chat with Elle.
The interview was part of her promotion for the upcoming tour film Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (Live in 3D), which she co-directed with James Cameron.
During the session, a fan asked her to share a belief she feels strongly about. Eilish admitted upfront that her answer might not be popular, but she didn’t hold back.
“Y’all not going to like me for this one,” she began, before clearly stating her position:
“Eating meat is inherently wrong. And another thing is: two things cannot coincide. ‘I love animals,’ and ‘I eat meat.’”
She doubled down on her point, making it even more direct:
“It’s just… You can’t do both. Sorry. You can eat meat, go for it. You can love animals, but you can’t do both.”
Her comments quickly spread online, adding to ongoing conversations about veganism, ethics, and personal food choices topics she has spoken about in the past as well.
