Biodun Okeowo has penned an emotional note to single mothers as Iyabo’s daughter, Priscilla is getting married today
Celebrating Iyabo Ojo on her special day today, she wrote;
”As a woman who has walked the path of single motherhood, I know the strength it takes to raise a child or children alone. The silent battles, the tears, the endless challenges, the prayers whispered in the dark. the double efforts, days of loneliness, days you wish a man is around to help. And the fear! The fear that grips your heart as you cry, “Hey God, please don’t let people mock me over these children I’m raising.”
Because sadly, especially in our culture, many still believe that children raised by women alone won’t turn out well. But today, you’ve proven them wrong. You’ve made us proud. The narrative is changing.
Looking at you, Iyabo, @iyaboojofespris and my heart swells with pride. Your daughter is getting married not just to any man, but stepping into a beautiful new chapter with grace, love, and the values you’ve poured into her. That is no small feat.
God did it, you allowed him. You fought for her future. You spoke positively into her future and God said YES!
Look at you! 😊today is the reward for your sacrifices, your resilience, and the deep, unwavering love only a mother can give. You are living proof that a mother’s love can build empires.
