He shared photos of them as they all joined him and his husband to celebrate his 50th birthday.

The pictures you are looking at today are not illusions, neither are they pretence. These pictures are a reflection of a family, my family that has even on a journey since I knew I was gay.
That journey was a journey that was filled with bitter words, hatred, tears, regrets and many times, anger, but at one point in the silence of it all, love was heard.
No, love was never silent, it was not just listened to and when she was heard, peace reign.
These are the pictures of my family, with love, joy, pride and acceptance at my 50th birthday with my husband.
There is something only time can buy and if it can happen for me, it can happen for you”.
