Nollywood actress Bisola Badmus became emotional as she reflected on how far she has come, giving all the glory to God for bringing her through some of the darkest moments of her life.
The actress, who shares a son with Fuji singer King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1, spoke with deep gratitude as she looked back at the difficult period when many people feared that her life was coming to an end.
In an emotional post, she said:
“Look at me, see what my God has done in my life, lots of people thought an end has come to my existence but my God rescued me and even added beauty and colours to my life. I am grateful O Lord”.
Badmus has had a difficult health journey in the past. In 2023, she revealed that she had battled encephalopathy, a brain disease, for more than a year. She later spoke about being diagnosed with a brain tumour and how the illness affected her life for several years.
At one point, she said her condition became so serious that she could not see or recognise people properly, while she relied on medication because surgery was not an option. She also had to deal with the loss of close family members during the difficult period.
Looking back now, Badmus appears thankful simply to be alive, healthy and able to enjoy the beauty that has returned to her life.
For her, the journey has been a painful one, but she sees her survival and recovery as a reminder of God’s mercy.
