Bobrisky has been released by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) after being detained over bribery allegations
He was apprehended at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos while preparing to board a flight to London . Following his arrest, he was taken to the EFCC headquarters in Abuja for questioning.
The situation escalated due to a viral audio recording in which Bobrisky purportedly claimed to have paid N15 million to EFCC officials in exchange for dropping money laundering charges. However, he has denied these allegations, asserting in a statement that no bribe was exchanged and questioning the validity of the recording.
An EFCC source confirmed that Bobrisky denied making any payments and stated that no EFCC officials solicited or received money from him.
EFCC spokesman Dele Oyewale confirmed Bobrisky’s release but did not provide additional comments regarding the case.
Prior to his release, Bobrisky took to social media to inform his followers about his arrest and the injuries he reportedly sustained during the incident.
