Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Publicity, has announced his decision to step down from his role as the President’s chief spokesman
In a letter submitted to the Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, Ngelale cited personal medical matters affecting his immediate family as the reason for his indefinite leave of absence.
According to Sahara reporters, Ngelale explained that the decision was made after consulting with his family and was necessary to address a worsening medical situation at home.
He expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to serve and looked forward to returning to his duties when possible.
Ngelale also requested privacy for his family during this time and stepped down from his additional roles as Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Action and Chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee on Project Evergreen.
