Elon Musk has ignited fresh controversy with a bold accusation against former U.S. President Donald Trump, claiming he is named in the still-unreleased Jeffrey Epstein files

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Musk wrote:
“Time to drop the really big bomb:
@realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public.
Have a nice day, DJT!
Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out.”
The statement marks a dramatic escalation in Musk’s increasingly bitter feud with Trump. Their fallout has deepened in recent weeks, following Musk’s harsh criticism of a Republican tax and spending bill, which he called a “disgusting abomination.” Trump, in turn, accused Musk of hypocrisy and threatened to revoke federal subsidies and contracts benefiting his companies.

The Epstein files refer to sealed documents tied to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein, who was convicted of sex crimes and maintained connections with numerous powerful individuals. While Trump was known to have associated with Epstein in the early 2000s, there is no public evidence linking him directly to Epstein’s crimes or any sealed documents to date.
