A fire has erupted at the Dangote Petroleum Refinery, situated in the Lekki Free Zone, Lagos, Nigeria
The blaze is currently raging, and its cause is yet to be determined.
A video circulating on social media shows thick, dark smoke billowing from one of the storage tanks at the facility.
The Dangote Oil Refinery, which was inaugurated on May 22, 2023, is a 650,000 barrels per day (BPD) integrated refinery project and a key asset of the Dangote Group.
The incident is currently under investigation, and efforts are being made to contain and extinguish the fire.
